The Osteo Den is built as a collaborative hub.
We are in the process of expanding to include complementary disciplines in women’s, pelvic, and family health.

This allows us to deliver comprehensive, integrated care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Dr. Anastasiya Ovechkin (Osteopath)
BSc (Clin Sc), MHSc (Osteo)

Clinician | Women’s Health Osteopath | Pelvic Floor Practitioner | Paediatric Provider
Founder of The Osteo Den

I’m an Osteopath with a strong focus on women’s health, pelvic floor care, chronic and hormonal pain, pregnancy and postpartum support, migraines, and paediatric care. My practice is shaped not only by clinical training, but by nearly two decades of navigating my own experiences with chronic pain, hormonal dysfunction and trauma - a journey that deeply informs the way I understand the body and hold space for the women and children I care for.

I work through a whole-body, trauma-aware lens grounded in anatomy, physiology and clinical reasoning, combining gentle osteopathic techniques with an appreciation for the physical, emotional and hormonal narratives held within the body. This includes evaluating visceral mobility, pelvic floor loading, breathing mechanics, diaphragmatic function, hormonal cycle patterns and nervous system stressors.

My aim is to create a calm and attentive environment that supports your body over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during my first appointment?

Your first consultation includes a detailed discussion of your health history, your goals, and the patterns your body is presenting with. This is followed by a full assessment and gentle, hands-on osteopathic treatment where appropriate. You’ll also receive education and simple strategies to support your body between sessions.

Do you offer internal pelvic floor therapy?

Yes - internal pelvic floor assessment and therapy is available when clinically appropriate and only with your clear, informed consent. Everything is explained beforehand, and you are in full control of pace and comfort throughout the session.

Can I see you during pregnancy or postpartum?

Absolutely! Osteopathy is gentle and easily adapted throughout every stage of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Many women seek support for pelvic girdle discomfort, rib tightness, abdominal restrictions, and preparation or recovery related to birth.

Do you work with babies and children?

Yes. Paediatric appointments are gentle, sensory-aware and entirely guided by your child’s comfort. We support babies and children with musculoskeletal patterns related to feeding, settling, mobility, and general comfort.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies for each person. It depends on your presentation, how long symptoms have been present, your nervous system load, and your personal goals. After your first session, I’ll discuss a plan that’s tailored to your needs.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No - referrals aren’t required. You can book directly. If you are working with a GP, gynaecologist, physio, psychologist or any other provider, we are always happy to collaborate with them if you choose.

Do you offer rebates or accept Medicare plans?

Yes, private health rebates may apply depending on your fund and level of cover. Please check with your provider. Osteopathy is eligible for Medicare EPC Care Plans.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours incur the full fee, as the appointment cannot be filled on short notice.
